About the event
Greeneville and Greene County will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of our country in front of the Greene County Courthouse.
Join us at 5:30 pm for opening remarks! There will be free apple pie for the first 250 people. Top Dog Hot Dog will be there vending hot dogs and sausages. We are putting together a great line-up of patriotic music and Declaration readers!
This is part of a state-wide initiative where Tennesseans will join communities across the United States in reading the Declaration of Independence aloud together at 6 pm EDT on July 8. Sharing the Spirit of America, was developed by the Hawaii America 250 Commission. The Tennessee Society of the Sons of the American Revolution will be leading this initiative in our state in 2026.
