Please join us at the 2025 Greene County Heritage Trust Annual Christmas Dinner, an evening of holiday season celebration for our community and its rich history!
In honor of the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding, this year's program will feature renowned George Washington-portrayer and interpreter Daniel Shippey, of Appomattox, Virginia.
Mr. Shippey served as the official George Washington on the staff of Mount Vernon and has become a nationally known speaker and presenter on the general and later President.
Appearing “in character” and in period attire as General Washington at the Heritage Trust dinner, he will present remarks on the nation’s founding and the Revolutionary War — from the general’s perspective. Mr. Shippey will be accompanied by his wife, Kelly, in the role of Martha Washington.
